Do you have that one place that you can go back to again and again and again and yet never be tired of?! Like a home away from home! I surely do...no brownie points for guessing, yes it is Goa!

My love story with this place started way back in the early 90's and after 2 decades, we are still going strong! It's a place where I can get lost and yet find myself, where I can discover something beyond just being, a place for the free spirited! It's rich bio-diversity, visual aesthetics, wonderful warm people, scrumptious meals...I wish I could stay forever but I guess our long distance relationship is what make it even more attractive.
This however was a super short visit with family and my first during the monsoons. It's best visited from September to March and of course New Years time is the best in India. But that didn't stop me from having fun :)
Anyways, let me stop my rants and get back to talking about my looks.

My Day 1 look was a semi-formal one as I had to accompany my daughter to the prestigious BITS Pilani campus for her to participate in the Preschool SpellBee Nationals.  So I choose to wear this beautiful Dorothy Perkins skirt which I believe was made only for me. ;)
We have quite a story!
I ordered it from Jabong right after my Assam trip but as I am an online shopping addict I had changed my delivery address to that of Assam during my stay there and while ordering this I overlooked the address, it went all the way to Assam...and that was the LAST PIECE! :(
I called customer care to tell them that cause I couldn't collect that skirt it would go back to the warehouse and that they should somehow let me know once it reflects in their inventory, but they couldn't facilitate that. I lost all hopes!
Nevertheless, I kept track of this item on the portal for the next 2 months, and finally one day it did come back and I did grab it! So it finally landed in my wardrobe.
Hence the special skirt for the special occasion. :P

Rest of the days was comfort dressing :P
The 2nd day I paired a halter neck F21 playsuit with a Bardot top and wore a denim skirt over it to carry me through the day. Once on the beach, threw off the skirt for a little fun in the water.

On the last day, wore a comfortable H&M dress to get me through the day and paired them with a pair of bright orange tie-ups to add some color to the monochrome look. As the dress was quite pretty, I kept it simple and didn't over accessories  it except for a simple chain pendant.

I personally prefer separates over dresses as I can add a personal touch to them and can style them differently each time. Yes, I like (not) repeating my clothes!
Which do you prefer? Would be nice to hear your story :D

Until then

Shop.Share.Score...Zwibe!!!

Hello my gorgeous people!! Happy Friday!!!
What plans for the weekend?
I plan to style some of my old outfits this weekend, and of course share with you guys!

Ever wondered how good it would be to earn if anyone buys based on our style posts?!
I would love to earn a share/points when someone chooses to buy out of mine...and guess what, my wish just came true with this amazing new app called Zwibe! :D
And you, my dear, can earn too!

The one thing that separates Zwibe from other apps is the amount of money users make on zwibe from promoting brands and recommending it to friends who buy them.
"If your friend buys through your posts, both of you make money off it." (Influencer who has posted makes 70%, and the person who buys makes 30%)

This app has the quirkiest products starting from brands like Forever21, Chemistry, Nike, Levi's etc. and when you buy, they give you a cashback which can be used as vouchers for sites like flipkart, bookmyshow.com and amazon!
You can follow your fav fashionista, keep track of the latest trends and buy the most fashionable products right here.

And if just like me, you cant get enough of street style, all you need to do is check out the fashion posts on Zwibe for all your fashion updates :)

Wait, that's not all...Zwibe is not limited only to fashion poducts. You can share literally anything on this app right from your lipstick to the latest MacBook and you can still avail the same benefits! How awesome is that!

Frankly this is all the social media I need in my life right now! :P

That Red Dress...

Hello folks!
How was your week?

I had quite a busy one and hence the delay on getting this story out.
So without any further ado, lets talking about my outfit of the day.

I am wearing this red dress from H&M that I picked up during the last Christmas sale while in NY, purely because it was so cheap ($12) and frankly I've never haven't worn it at all.
So today I decided to style it - as the dress is a beautiful red and has frills, it didn't need any jewelry except my new choker that I am totally obsessing over. Decided to use my tie-up flats as they give a nice look to the legs, wore a black sun hat (matching with the tone of the shoe) to keep the sun away while adding to the style quotient and finally wore these beautiful reddish toned shades.

Credit for the location and poses goes purely to my cameraman as he had this visual of a fashionista take over a mean machine and tame it! :P (Don't know how far I pulled off the character)

Anyways, I was happy and content at having such lovely pics to share with you guys and more importantly - having worn this year old new dress in my wardrobe! :)

Did you like what I did with the dress? Let me know.

Some of the other ways I can think of spicing up any boring outfit are
1. Add a colorful scarf
2. Wear a stylish hat
3. Add a chunky statement neckpiece
4. Layer it with either a shrug I contrast color or add leggings
5. Wear a belt
6. You can never go wrong with a nice pair of shoes!
7. Add a bright bag
What are your tricks?

Till I hear from you...

Of Suspenders and Chokers...

Hey! Wassup? I
t's almost Friday...what plans for weekend?
I am off to Goa for a couple of days...yayeee...but when I am in Bangalore I love to go for long drives and explore new places.

During one such drive, we came across these roads under construction and cause they had covered it up with crushed stones and gravel dust, it look pristine. I had to get a shot! So, we planned to do a quick one here. I was actually wearing this off shoulder top with a skirt but cause I wanted to amp-up the look, quickly reached for my suspenders and added them...and without any effort, the style quotient moved up one notch :P

Well, I have been obsessed with suspenders and chokers for about a couple of weeks now...and no, not over it yet and am not done styling and sharing with you either! ;) See that choker with the coin? Its a DIY made out of scrap :P (will tell you how-to in a while, keep reading)
Suspenders have definitely made a comeback and were seen everywhere last fall (I know I'm a late bloomer :P). They are definitely my go-to accessory of the moment.

Also sharing another look I created using suspenders recently. Currently I have my eyes on thin leather ones and even striped/printed ones :-0

Now for the DIY I choker - I simply took those black elastic strings that is used for tying the footwear pair together (usually by Forever21 when ordered online) inserted a coin from another neckpiece and strung it around with a back knot! That simple!!! :D

Would love to hear about your current crushes/experiments.
Until then...

Just another day in Paradise

Hey There! Happy Monday! :)
It's a beautiful day here in Bangalore with just the right amount of sunshine, well balanced with the soothing calm breeze...just another typical Bangalore summer day we so love!

I remember complaining about the heat in Feb/Mar this year (which I believe was the highest in the last few decades) but 2 months of heat for this weather in peak summers is nothing! I couldn't be thankful enough to be in this beautiful city which of course like any other place has its flaws (I hear traffic :P) but hey, no place is perfect!

Anyways, coming to today's look, I wore this crop top with my stretchy jeans and threw on this shrug to beat the morning chill. Also added a beanie to cover my ears...and...cause its been cold thought will use the opportunity to pull out my black boots that I've been missing for a while :D (I did take them off after a while :P)

I loved putting this look together and frankly, it was very last minute but this is my true style - a little edgy and a hint of grunge :)
What's your favorite style, do share

Until then,
